Six University of Abuja students have received an N1.7 million research grant from the university’s Centre for Undergraduate Research Fund.
Speaking at the university’s second Undergraduate Research Day on Thursday, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah, Vice-Chancellor, said the grant would help students develop solutions to national problems.
He believes that the government, parents, and industry should look to universities to solve problems.
“Our goal is to ensure that whatever we do as research is picked up and developed further for the benefit of society.”
“Research is concerned with finding solutions to national problems.” We want their minds to be set up in such a way that they think about bringing about change in society every day. We also want to raise awareness about how much universities can contribute to our world.”
