Obtaining F.Govt 250,000 – 500,000 Youths Funds is a simple process. Since then, the federal government has worked with the National Directorate of Employment to assist unemployed Nigerians in becoming employers of labour (NDE).
Mr. Lawan Yaya, the Bauchi coordinator of the NDE, made the announcement on Saturday in Bauchi while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
“At the very least, the federal government is focusing on unemployed youths by implementing various interventions to help them become self-employed.”
“At the end of a recent NDE entrepreneurship training, 40 beneficiaries out of 100 received loan packages ranging from N250,000 to N500,000, and they are now in serious businesses.”

“In agriculture, the NDE’s Rural Employment Promotion Department recently trained 93 participants who were each given a loan package of N100,000.”
“Some of them bought cows, while others are in crop production; some are in the agriculture value chain, and they have already employed some hands and become employers of labour,” Mr. Yaya explained.
He went on to say that some of the beneficiaries who received N60,000 each under its Extended Special Public Works formed a cooperative society and pooled their resources to buy cows.
He explained that they slaughtered the cows after three months to obtain larger seeds.

“The federal government is making a significant contribution to addressing the country’s unemployment problems.”
“I say this because the Industrial Training Fund invited me to their programme, and we’ve seen young entrepreneurs who were given loans and have already become labour employers,” he explained.
Mr. Yaya mentioned the CBN’s Nirsal Microfinance Bank as another organisation that helps and assists unemployed youths to become labour employers.
“If you look at the Bank of Agriculture, they are also a progress partner.”
“Some NDE trainees who were unable to obtain loans from the directorate were linked with the bank and are now obtaining loans from there,” he explained.
He advised recipients of various federal government interventions to take advantage of all available opportunities.
